Perhaps you hadn't noticed, but the field of presidential candidates is extremely sparse. In a country as great as the United States, is is quite remarkable that a better selection is not available. Obama vs McCain? Give me a break.

Hundreds of businesses across the country closed their doors in deference to the wishes of America's illegal workforce, and many teachers failed to prevent their dangerously naive students from joining demonstrations which only proved to the rest of us just how utterly foolish and immoral years of systematic liberal brainwashing has left them.

Members of the drive-by media, as Rush Limbaugh likes to call it, were perfectly giddy with all the excitement, as news trucks took up strategic positions in key cities where communist-backed organizations had promised to hold mass rallies in support of illegal workers. Referring to the events as "immigration rights protests", most of the "mainstream" press was more than happy to promote the efforts of a loose confederation of international communists, ACLU activists, radical Muslims, and unapologetic, law-breaking foreigners.

Average American citizens could do little but sit and watch as hoards of illegals and their collaborators marched in streets across the U.S., openly mocking our immigrations laws, while politicians from Washington D.C. to Washington State either cheered on the protesters or hid from view.

Forget exercise

A new study debunks the idea that exercise is not the most effective means to loose weight:

Dieting and exercising can help weight loss. But dieting alone can be as effective, according to a new study published in a recent issue of Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism.

Weight loss occurs in a person who reduces intake of calories in his diet and or increases energy expenditure through physical exercise.

"What we found was that it did not matter whether a reduction in calories was achieved through diet or burned everyday through exercise," Dr. Leanne Redman of the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

In the 6-month study of thirty-five overweight but otherwise healthy adults, 12 were assigned to reduce their calorie intake by 25 percent. 12 were assigned to diet plus exercise, reducing calorie intake by 12.5 percent and increasing their exercise by 12.5 percent. The remaining 11 were not asked to change any thing in terms of diet and physical activity.

The diet group and diet plus exercise group had the same amount of weight loss. Thus, the vast weight reduction conspiracy has now been exposed by a miniscule stufy of 35 adults.

Who Killed the Nuclear Scientist?

Last month, Iran reported the death of Ardeshir Hassanpour, 44, one of the country's leading nuclear scientists. The news fueled a wave of rumors and conspiracy theories in cyberspace.

The question is: "Who did it?".

Iranians said it on Jan. 21 it was gas poisoning while Stratfor, a company based in the United States, asserted it was a "hit" and claimed it had received evidence substantiating radioactive poisoning.

Though the mystery remains unsolved, a couple of things are certain: Hassanpour is dead, and footage of his funeral was posted on the Internet.
